Past Gigs

Most recent activity in 2008 has seen gigs at some great new venues, particularly The Blue Boar in Chipping
Norton and "Propaganda" in Andover. They both seem a long way to travel but Andover in particular has a really
great live music scene so we hope to play down there again soon. Of course, travelling is part of the game and
if your ambition is a world tour, then a trip to Andover is a good start!

Going back somewhat.....

2005 saw the first PowerTrain gigs in December, a Faringdon Open Mike night and then a Breast Cancer Charity
gig at The Faringdon Junior School. A great introduction, but a lot more to come.

2006 was when the band really kicked off with gigs at the Portwell Open Mike nights, a first appearance at the
Faringdon Arts Festival, and gigs at Swan Inn Radcot, Green Dragon Marlborough, The Barge Pewsey, Swiss
Chalet Swindon, White Horse Highworth, The Trout Lechlade, Faringdon Halloween, Hard Rock Cafe Park Lane (!),
The Flowing Well Abingdon and some private parties. 17 gigs in all, not a bad start.

2007 PowerTrain got busier, 23 gigs in total and being asked back to just about every venue played. These
included:
The Flowing Well, Abingdon
Bouverie Hall, Pewsey
Swiss Chalet, Swindon
The Bay Tree, Grove
The Magic Midget, Abingdon
The Moonrakers, Swindon
The Red Lion, Witney
The Trout, Lechlade
"Party in the Park" Tucker Park, Faringdon
Faringdon Arts Festival
The Moonrakers, Swindon
The Green Dragon, Marlborough
Fat Lil's Witney (what a great venue)
The Black Horse, Kidlington
The White Horse, Highworth

The last PowerTrain gig of 2007 was a Festive Faringdon charity fundraiser at the Old Crown Coaching Inn

supported by Shaun Green.  The venue was packed with an enthusiastic crowd that brought the musical year

to a successful end.  2008 sees yet more gigs for the band, so we hope to see you all again.

Bring your friends too!
